Event Description
To launch the autumn cultural season, LES FILLES DE LA PLUIE is opening its doors for a full day dedicated to discovery, participation, and exchange around theater. This open house event is entirely free and designed for all audiences—whether you are an experienced theater enthusiast, a beginner curious about stage arts, or simply a local resident wishing to spend a creative day in the company of others.
The day will begin with a welcoming session in the morning, where members of the association will present the history, values, and objectives of LES FILLES DE LA PLUIE. Visitors will be guided through the premises to better understand the spaces we use for rehearsals, workshops, and performances.
Following the introduction, participants will be invited to take part in interactive workshops led by professional facilitators and volunteers. A first workshop will focus on voice and breathing techniques, highlighting how actors use their bodies and voices as expressive tools. A second workshop will address improvisation exercises, encouraging participants to unleash their creativity and spontaneity. These sessions will be open to all ages and no prior experience will be required.
After a midday break, the afternoon will be dedicated to collective creation sessions. Participants will be grouped together to experiment with short scenes developed collaboratively. This will provide an opportunity to understand the association’s philosophy of collective work, where every voice and idea contributes to the final performance. At the end of the afternoon, these short scenes will be shared in a friendly and informal setting, allowing everyone to appreciate the diversity of creativity present in the room.
The day will close with a roundtable discussion between association members, invited artists, and the public. The discussion will focus on the role of theater in local cultural life, its ability to bring people together, and the future projects of LES FILLES DE LA PLUIE.
The Theater Open House will thus be more than just a visit—it will be a true immersion in our artistic approach. By combining discovery, practice, and dialogue, we aim to make theater accessible to all and to create an atmosphere of sharing that reflects our values.
