Event Description
As winter approaches and the year draws to a close, LES FILLES DE LA PLUIE will organize Voices of Winter, a festive and inclusive theater showcase designed to bring together artists, volunteers, and community members in a spirit of creativity and celebration.
This free event will run throughout the day and will be structured as a sequence of performances, workshops, and community gatherings. The morning will begin with short readings and monologues performed by association members and guest participants. These intimate moments will allow spectators to experience the power of the spoken word and to appreciate the variety of theatrical styles, from classical texts to contemporary writing.
The afternoon will feature community-led performances. Groups of local residents, who will have prepared small theatrical scenes in collaboration with our facilitators in the weeks leading up to the event, will present their work to the public. This segment will embody our association’s commitment to inclusion, showing how theater can belong to everyone and how non-professional voices can enrich the stage.
A creative workshop will also be offered for families and children, focusing on storytelling through movement and improvisation. This workshop will encourage younger participants to discover the joy of theater in a playful and interactive way.
As evening falls, the event will culminate in a collective performance involving all participants—actors, spectators, and workshop attendees. Together, we will create an improvised final piece that blends voices, movements, and ideas into a shared expression of community spirit.
The day will end with a convivial gathering, offering space for reflection, conversation, and celebration of the year’s artistic journey. Voices of Winter will not only be a showcase of creativity but also a living testimony to the values of LES FILLES DE LA PLUIE: openness, dialogue, and collective creation.
